Alisa Joffe | TKN

Alisa Joffe (born 1987, Tashkent) is a Russian artist. Lives and works in Moscow. Went to "Free Workshops" at the Moscow Institute of International Relations (2005-2007, workshop of Yu Shabelnikov). Graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Arts (2008). Attended the seminars of Anatoly Osmolovsky (2008). A graduate of the Joseph Brodsky Memorial Foundation (2018). Cooperated with the Japanese clothing brand COMME des GARÇONS.

In her large-scale black and white works, Alice seeks to go beyond the canvas and grab the space around the viewer, which appears inside the picture, as events. The subjects of paintings are often social and political ones are based on the events taking place in the world, which the artist learns from the Internet. The project will be implemented with the support of the Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantin Sorokin Foundation.
